Before and after liposuction of the body in a 24-year-old woman. At the same time as a breast reduction, she wanted to add on some additional body contouring to accentuate her surgical results.
Liposuction removed over four liters of unwanted fat from her armpits and bra rolls, abdomen, flanks, pubic region and upper arms. After surgery, she wore compression garments under her clothes for a full three months, transitioning from her initial surgical garments to tight and more comfortable “athleisure” wear that she already had at home.
She began applying scar gel as soon as her scabs were gone from her liposuction incisions, around one month, and continued applying gel until her incisions faded. Some of them were visible outside her bikini lines when she went on vacation, so she applied a color-matched waterproof concealer that helped these incisions be “out of sight and out of mind” during her recovery.
Follow up photos are shown 1 year after surgery. She feels very comfortable in her skin and had a very positive experience with our team. Given her beautiful skin tone, it is normal that her scars are still dark. They will continue to fade over the next several years.
