Before and after liposuction of the abdomen and anterior (front-sided) flanks in a 55-year-old woman. She was planning a blepharoplasty (upper eyelid lift) and wanted to also improve the appearance of her abdomen. Since menopause, she had accumulated excess fat on her body, which had always been her best feature previously.
Liposuction permanently removed half a liter (500 cc) of fat from her abdomen, primarily in the upper abdominal region. Postoperatively, she wore a compression garment for two months to help limit swelling and facilitate a smooth contour.
Long-term follow up photos are shown 3 years after surgery, with mature scars and a nice contour. She loves her belly!
