Before and after liposuction of the upper and lower back, flanks, abdomen, hips, inner and outer thighs and buttock roll (“banana roll”) in a 34 year old mother.
She traveled to San Francisco often for work and wanted to address her stubborn fat while she was in town on business. We often see out of town patients, and recommend they stay in the Bay Area for at least 10 days after surgery so we can monitor healing and ensure they are on their way to an excellent result before they travel home.
Nearly 9 liters of fat were removed in a 3 hour outpatient procedure performed in the main operating room. Postoperatively, she wore compression garments under her clothes for 3 months. She resumed exercise at 3 weeks when her bruising had resolved and traveled home after that, returning to San Francisco for follow ups at three months, eight months and then a year later.
Follow up photos are shown at 8 months after surgery. Her transformation is impressive. She still has some residual swelling that continues to go away.
