We are proud to share that Dr. Karen Horton has been voted Best Cosmetic/Plastic Surgeon in the Bay Area in SFGATE’s Best of the Bay Area 2026 Awards, marking the second year in a row she has earned this honor.

This is a community-voted award, which means the recognition comes directly from patients and Bay Area residents who took the time to cast a vote. Winning it once is meaningful. Winning it two years running reflects a consistent standard of care that patients notice and return to recommend.

What This Award Recognizes

The SFGATE Best of the Bay Area Awards celebrate the businesses and professionals that Bay Area residents trust most, chosen through public voting across a wide range of categories. Being named Best Cosmetic/Plastic Surgeon reflects the trust patients place in Dr. Horton’s surgical skill, her individualized approach to care, and the natural-looking results she is known for.

This year’s competition was fierce. More than 29,000 Bay Area locals cast over 167,000 votes across all categories, making the 2026 Best of the Bay Area Awards the most competitive and community-powered contest yet.

A Philosophy Built on Trust

Dr. Horton’s approach has always centered on three principles: Educate, Inform, and Empower. Rather than simply recommending a procedure, she takes the time to help each patient understand her options, set realistic expectations, and make a decision that fits her goals.
