Do Plastic Surgery results have to look ‘plastic’?
Does all Plastic Surgery have to look ‘plastic’? OF COURSE NOT.
The Bay Area, and San Francisco in particular, has a natural, conservative aesthetic and most patients we see in the office do NOT want to look different, ‘done’, ‘frozen’, startled, or ‘plastic’!
An immobile, strange-looking face that is immediately visible from across the room to others is NOT the aesthetic San Franciscans and Bay Area folks seeking cosmetic treatments are going for.
Instead, women and men who seek cosmetic procedures, both surgical and non-surgical at Horton SPA, want to look like THEMSELVES but a more refreshed, rested and youthful version of themselves.
Individuals who seek non-invasive cosmetic treatments and Plastic Surgery are normal, everyday people who simply want to look their best and look as good as they feel on the inside. They want to look rejuvenated but not different that their usual selves.
Our goal, in turn, is to maintain our patients’ natural aesthetics and normal facial characteristics, but to help them ‘put their best face forward’, to reverse some of the stigmata of aging and to correct changes resulting from pregnancies (Mommy Makeovers!) – BUT to avoid a ‘plastic’ look!
When considering any type of Plastic Surgery, be sure to do your homework. Ensure your physician is an ABPS-Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with extensive experience in the procedure(s) you are seeking. Ask to see before and after photos of results that are realistic and in other patients with similar features and body types to you. Request patient and speak to patients who have had the procedure with your potential practitioner, learning about the treatment, the recovery, downtime and all potential complications.
