Meet Our Team: Autumn – Non-Surgical Front Office Coordinator

photo of autumn-non-surgical-front-office-coordinatorAutumn is our Non-Surgical Front Office Coordinator and is one of those rare people who radiates genuine compassion the moment you meet her. What she loves most about working at Dr. Karen Horton’s Plastic Surgery practice in San Francisco is the team’s passion—every patient receives truly thoughtful care, and that commitment reflects the kind of healthcare environment she wants to be part of. For Autumn, every patient deserves the highest standard of care, no matter the procedure.

If she weren’t here, she imagines she’d be a history professor, happily teaching and diving deep into the stories that shape the world. A fun fact that always gets a laugh? She has almost every Muni bus and metro route memorized—a true San Franciscan skill.

Autumn’s favorite procedure to assist with is microneedling for acne scars, a journey she personally understands. Seeing patients begin to notice real improvements is meaningful for her, and she loves being part of a process that can boost confidence and transform someone’s relationship with their skin.

In her own skincare routine, tretinoin is her standout favorite. For non-surgical treatments, she’s torn between BOTOX® and microneedling—both effective, both reliable, and both great for maintaining healthy, smooth skin.

When it comes to procedures she would never recommend, Autumn is clear: thread lifts. In her view, it’s better to save your money and look into surgical options. She notes that none of the clinicians she knows who perform thread lifts would choose to get them done themselves.

Take the time to find the right doctor for you and your goals, and consider every factor—not just reputation or pricing. After all, she reminds patients, “You will live in this body for the rest of your life,” and your decisions deserve the same level of care you give to your long-term wellbeing.
